Mug pre-warmer MPH-100

MPH-100 is a preheating station for sublimation mugs, whose task is to heat the bottom of the ceramic mug so that after placing the mug in a Mug press, the print is equally contrasting (saturated) across the entire height of the mug (explained in more detail below).

The station allows you to heat 8 ceramic mugs of the same or different sizes simultaneously.

Max mug dimensions: max ø 89 mm, which is about all ceramic mugs from our offer, including wider retro imitation mugs 400ml

Only 2 Mugs cannot be used (due to size) :

* Imitation enamel retro 500ml
* Mug white jumbo

Max power consumption of the station: ONLY 100 W

      The station is ideal if you print multiple mugs at once, i.e. you gradually insert the mugs with the sublimation
    paper already fixed into the station and then put heated mugs (bottom approx. 55C) into the Mug press.

UNWANTED
COOLING OF THE MUG IN A CLASSIC MUG PRESS

WHY BUY MPH-100?

The classic Mug press is structurally simple / lightweight / heats up quickly / the handle of the mug remains cool when the ceramic is heated / you do not need protective gloves during the entire printing process / the consumption of electricity spent on heating is low

BUT

during printing / heating the mug in the thermal insert, the mug is unintentionally cooled from the handle and at the same time from the bottom of the mug (see blue arrows in the picture)

Cooling means that the sublimation ink in the sublimation paper will have a lower temperature in this place, i.e. less of it will be transferred to the mug coating - i.e. the print will have less contrast.

For the handle of the mug, this is solved by not placing the image close to the handle. For the bottom of the mug (if you want a contrasting and rich print across the entire height of the mug), it is necessary to use a preheating station..

In the picture you can see the black and light blue print on 2 Orca mugs, where on the left print we printed without preheating, on the right the mug was preheated in the MPH-100 station. The picture is actually taken and in the lower part of the mug without preheating you can see the lighter black and blue print.

After opening the box, remove the station upwards, the power cord is located on the side of the box.

                         First power-on - working with the station

1  Connect the power cord to the station (from the back)

2  Turn on the station with the front red illuminated button

3  Working with the station

The station has a very low power consumption (100W approx. as a stronger light bulb) so that it can be turned on the entire time you are printing, on the other hand, low consumption (low power) causes the station to heat up more slowly.

We recommend - as soon as you are going to print mugs, turn on the station and as you fix the images on the mugs, place them gradually into the station.

It is advisable to heat the bottom of the mug to approx. 55°C, which means that the mug should stand in the station for at least approx. 10 minutes.
The manufacturer specifies the time required to heat the bottom as 2 minutes, which is valid provided that the bottom of the mug is absolutely flat so that its entire surface rests on the plate.

Most mugs have a curved bottom, and some mugs have a raised edge at the bottom - i.e. the contact between the mug and the plate is only partial -
we have tried various mugs and we recommend

Turn on the station and let it heat up for about 15 minutes, after this time the temperature of the plate is about 80°C and gradually increases to 90°C, and let the mugs heat up for at least 10 minutes, i.e. as soon as you put the mug in the press for printing, please immediately put a new mug in the empty place.
If you work on 2 presses at the same time, the station will only heat the mugs -
4 mugs x 2-3 min = average time of the mug in the station is about 10 min
