INSTALLATION  /  ROLL OF PAPER    

Remove one roll of paper from the CY-MSXX paper pack. Make sure that the side of the roll is really straight and the threads of the paper are not gathered to the side, if this is the case (due to careless transportation), please level the side of the roll, see picture 

 
        
                                                                        
If you are installing a new printer, remove the paper holders from the box, see fig above (package contents)

The paper holder has spacer collars (width 1 cm) which define the difference in the width of the paper rolls 15 cm x 13 cm = 2 collars 1 cm wide. Since Citizen does not deliver 13cm wide paper to the EU, please remove the spacer collars, i.e. tear off the bag with the screws, remove the blue foil, press the sprung stems together and pull the spacer collars from the stems to the side (see picture) and save it's back in the box

The paper holder is identical for the right and left sides and has a sprung stem so that you can slide it from the side into the roll of paper - push both sides from the sides "up to the stop" on the sides of the paper.
* Open the printer - press the black lever in the upper cutout of the front door towards you and swing the front door forward
* Remove the protective pink foam from the print unit, which protects the thermal head when transporting the printer, then fold the front door to a horizontal position
* Insert the paper roll into the printer so that the arrow on the paper sticker is pointing down. The paper roll snaps into the lower plastic bushings
       

WITH THE PRINTER ON

1. Remove the fixing sticker from the paper roll and turn on the printer - the switch is located at the back, the POWER LED lights up green and the 2 PAPER / ERROR LEDs start flashing.
2. Unroll / the paper from the roll downwards and push it under the roller and above the black bottom plastic - see. blue arrow ... check that the edge of the paper is approximately in line with the line marked PC (line for a roll of paper 15 cm wide).
Move the paper further vertically straight down - insert it under the black plastic and as soon as you hear the audio signal, stop turning the roll, the PAPER LED will stop flashing
Now install the colored foil.

        

INSTALLATION  /  INK SHEET (ribbon)   

Attention : Unpack the ribbon or roll of paper just before installing it in the printer. When unpacking, let them lie down and handle them on the opened packaging material in such a way as to minimize the possibility of dust or any other dirt settling on the paper or ribbon, which subsequently affects the quality of the print !

Remove one ribbon (in white foam) from the CY-MSXX paper package, prepare the ribbon see picture
= white shafts ending in serrations please to the left (when handling the ribbon, hold it by the plastic shafts, if possible do not touch the ink sheet itself) the ink sheet passes through the upper edge of a full spool, the lower edge of an empty spool, see darts
                                                   

3. Grasp the ribbon by the edges of the shafts, insert the white shafts with teeth carefully from the left into the teeth in the printer

4. On the right side, push the stems od ribbon into the plastic sleeves until they click
- small red arrows show plastic locks

5. Make sure that the ink sheet in the printer is approximately off (if you turn one of the spools and slightly tension the ink sheet)

6. Close front doors of the printer, the printer is ready, only the POWER LED lights up


    
                     
7.  Attach (hook to the scrap box) the plastic holder for capturing printed photos (included in the printer's accessories). When printing, strips of paper fall into the plastic scrap box - please empty this box regularly !

The scrap box is clipped to the front door of the printer, you can remove it by loosening it in the lower part, see bottom image
